We, Jonas Vansteenkiste & Joke Raes, are excited to inform you about our joint art publication 'Transitoria'.
We are pleased to present to you the unique book in combination with limited Artworks made for this book.
About Transitoria:
The inspiration for the publication came after our strong collaboration and successful presentation of the duo exhibition 'Synergia' in the Poortersloge in Bruges.
We see the book as a renewed meeting and cross-pollination of each other as visual artists. Together we go on a voyage of discovery of points of contact, in search of a new transitory space where our artworks and practices flow into each other. Several national and international curators, writers & art critics were invited to make a textual contribution and reflect on our work and the possible synergy.
Bruno Devos from Stockmans Art Books is supervising this artist publication and the production of about 320 pages of our art practice. In September 2021 the book will be available in various bookstores and museums.

You can also pick up the book by yourself during the presentation moment in the Poortersloge in Bruges 29 October 2021 19 O’Clock.

Vol enthousiasme brengen we u op de hoogte van onze gezamenlijke kunstpublicatie ‘Transitoria’.
Samen met het boek creëerden we een aantal kunstwerken die we graag aanbieden en die bijdragen ter financiering van een deel van de productie van het boek.
Over Transitoria:
De inspiratie voor de publicatie ontstond na onze vruchtbare samenwerking en succesvolle presentatie van de duo-expositie ‘Synergia’ in de Poortersloge te Brugge.
Het boek zien we als een hernieuwde ontmoeting en kruisbestuiving van elkaar als beeldende kunstenaars. Samen gaan we op ontdekkingstocht naar raakpunten, op zoek naar een nieuwe transitorische ruimte waarbij onze kunstwerken en praktijken overgaan in elkaar. Diverse nationale en internationale kunstcritici werden uitgenodigd om een tekstuele bijdrage te leveren en te reflecteren over ons werk en de mogelijke synergie.
Bruno Devos van Stockmans Art Books begeleidt deze kunstenaarspublicatie en de productie van circa 320 pagina’s van onze kunstpraktijk. In september 2021 zal het boek beschikbaar zijn in diverse boekhandels en musea.
